Foldable Walker

A walker is one of the most important tools for post-surgery recovery—but proper sizing is often overlooked.

Standard walkers are designed for average to taller adults, while petite or junior walkers are better suited for individuals under approximately 5’4″. Using the wrong size can lead to poor posture, instability, and increased fall risk.

A properly fitted walker should allow the user to stand upright with a slight bend in the elbows, creating a natural and secure walking position.

Raised Toilet Seat with Handles

A standard toilet is too low after surgery. A raised seat adds 4–6 inches, reducing the range of motion needed to sit and stand.

Handles matter just as much. They allow you to push up with your arms—not your healing joint.

What to look for:

• Appropriate weight capacity
• Proper height (measure first)

Attachable Bidet Sprayer (Under-Toilet Seat vs. Handheld)

After surgery, twisting, bending, and reaching can be uncomfortable—or simply not possible. A bidet sprayer provides a simple, hygienic solution that reduces the need for physical strain.

There are two primary options:

1.  Handheld Bidet Sprayer

A handheld sprayer offers more flexibility and control, allowing the user (or caregiver) to direct water precisely where needed.

Unlike under-seat models, the handheld sprayer does not sit inside the toilet, which makes it much easier to keep clean and maintain. This is especially important for seniors or caregivers who want a more hygienic, low-maintenance solution.

While these are popular and easy to use, they can be more difficult to keep clean over time, since the nozzle sits inside the toilet bowl area and may require regular maintenance.

Pros:
